During the harsh Winter months, we are capable of protecting ourselves from the cold and the ever-changing temperature as much as we can. We try wearing double or even triple layers of clothes, protect our ears and our hands with hats and gloves, but the face we can never really protect, so it suffers the most, or at least in my case it does. Since my skin has a tendency to be dry and sensitive during winter months, I have always been on the hunt for the perfect MASKS that would restore the moisture and give my skin a healthy glow in return.
The first mask that I would love to recommend is the BIODERMA Soothing Mask for sensitive and intolerant skin. This mask has a very thick consistency at first when squeezed from the tube, but once applied to the face, it magically transforms to a light water-y consistency. They say on the back label to leave it on your face for 15 minutes and then remove it with luke water, but my dermatologist suggested to leave it over night as a Sleeping Mask and it made a tremendous job in restoring my skin to an amazing condition. This Mask is perfect for people with very dry or dehydrated skin and not at all suitable for oily or even normal skin. I use this mask when I have been spending a lot of time outdoor skiing, which makes my face very flaky, and it saves it totally. So, this mask is for extreme measures.
My second favorite mask is the Refreshing Fruit Pack from HIMALAYA Herbals for normal to dry skin. This mask is so much lighter in consistency than the previous one, and thus I use it more often. I try to apply it once or twice per week, depending on the general condition of my skin, and it works perfectly. I am head-over-heels in love with this mask because in addition to restoring moisture, it adds an amazing glow to my skin, which is perfect in this dull weather. Although it is stated on the package that this mask is suitable for more dry skin, I think it could even be good to slightly oily skin, because of it’s airy consistency, plus is smells amazing which is always a bonus in my opinion.
