For as long as I can remember, I was fascinated by fashion and its evolution throughout the decades. I have always imagined myself living in the 50’s or the 60’s, wearing midi skirts and having over the top accessories and hair-dos. For me it was magic, the magic of dressing up and being someone more interesting and more fun. Although I do enjoy the crop tops and the boyfriend jeans I live in on an everyday basis, I do want that fun and pin up style that I saw in the pictures and in movies. Some people might think that by wearing vintage pieces or dressing similar to any of the previous decades, would make your style outdated, like you have just raided your great-great grandmother’s closet and stepped out for a night-out, but that’s not always the case. For me it is the inspiration behind those styles, it is the general feel of that decade and not just copying the style as it is. You should take something from that decade and make it modern and relevant to today’s fashion. You may think it is hard, and maybe you are right. But don’t you worry, I am bringing you a fun series in collaboration with Washed and Found to show you how easy it is to style a Vintage inspired look.

For the first look, we decided to opt for a Sailor pin-up style with the typical combination of the Stripes, Red and Blue, and pair them with some gorgeous vintage high heels. What we wanted to show here is the importance of adding modern and stylish pieces to the vintage ones to obtain the balance for the perfect look.

All the pieces I am wearing for this look are pre-owned pieces from luxury brands, and could be found on the Washed and Found’s website. Some of you might not be comfortable with buying or wearing pre-owned pieces, simply because it is still a new thing and we are not always certain of the sources and the credibility of the stores. But here is where Washed and Found is different than any other store in Lebanon, they take their job very seriously and make sure that you don’t worry about anything regarding, the authenticity, the quality and the price-tag. Washed and Found is the first online store for second-hand luxury brands in Lebanon and the only one with a website. They sell a variety of items and brands (around 200 brands) and have a very low tolerance for items in bad conditions. All the items shown on the website  are 100% authentic and they make sure that each and every item passes all the stages of authentication. If you are a person who have been wanting to invest in a certain luxury brand, Washed and found could be your destination, because they cater for all styles.

So, stay tuned for a lot more coming this week.
