This is a short story, about a girl finding her perfect dress…
We all have different perceptions of our perfect dress, how it is supposed to look, to feel and hug your buddy. With my figure (I am quite short and not that curvy), I find it hard to find dresses that would not overwhelm me, but instead let me shine. I love my dresses to be very loose and light. I look for silk materials and clean lines. As much as I like my puffy skirts, there’s something so sexy in wearing a dress that drapes around your body and doesn’t hide your natural curves. These types of dresses allow you to move and dance and not worry about anything.
I have found my perfect dress, have you???

You know those days when you look into your closet and decide that nothing you have reflects the fashion spirit you want to embrace this season? It happens to the best of us, trust me. I don’t know if this is part of growing up or me getting older (and wiser 😛 ) but most of the things I wore last year or even the year before do not speak to me in the same way it did. So, I have decided to listen closely to what my inner fashionable sense is trying to tell me and just change the things a little bit. I still love my floral skirts and my blouses, but going more casual and chill from time to time is a pretty good thing to do and healthy, too.
For the change of style I headed to Jennyfer, to their newest branch in Beirut Souks, since I know this French brand carries a wide variety of styles and fashionable pieces that would surely satisfy my needs. From the first glance, once I entered the store, the denim dungarees caught my attention and I knew we were match made in heaven ❤ . The combination of the washed, 90’s inspired, denim to the modern boyfriend fit cut, these pair of dungarees are going to be a huge staple in my closet this Summer, and I think they are exactly what I lacked in my style. I already can imagine them being paired up or down for parties and brunches and even for just chilling around the house. And to continue with the 90’s trend, a white crop top is the best solution paired with a black chocker .
And if you are living Lebanon and free this Saturday and Sunday (7th and 8th of May) please come and join us at the official opening party of Jennyfer’s newest store in Beirut Souks. There’s gonna be a lot of surprises and music, so come and chit chat with me and other Lebanese bloggers and discover more about Jennyfer’s Summer collection.

It’s that time of the year again, when you feel like the universe is mocking you. One day you are saying goodbye to your beloved boots and coats, until your meet next year, and welcoming the sunshine with bare legs and open toes, and the next day you find yourself shivering from cold because your crop top and midi skirt isn’t keeping you warm in a 16 deg weather. So, what does the girl have to so in such a situation? Go back to the classic and oh so taboo option; wearing your Sandals with Tights (or socks) because why not? We have been seeing this trend for over 3 years now and I don’t think it’s coming to an end, it’s actually not that bad and gives you more options to mix and match your outfits more.
For the next time you want to wear your Spring dress out and the weather isn’t cooperating, pull out your tights and some colorful sandals and rock the look.

Monochromatic looks are all the range these days, where all the bloggers look absolutely fantastic in head-to-toe grey, black or white ensembles. You may think it is a very easy look to copy, since it is only one color, so how hard could that be? Well, let me assure you, that it is pretty hard. When building an outfit with one color only, you have to play with different other elements to bring interest to the look. From texture, to fabric to different degradation of color, a lot of things have to be taken into consideration to make “monochromatic” work.
For a color-loving girl, monochromatic looks are hard to apply, so I need to add a little bit of color to make them work for me. For this outfit, I paired a sleeveless wool jumper with a ruffled skirt, to play with textures and added some color with the sneakers and the bag. The colors are not too bold, so for me they still fit in the one-color category.
As a reminder, I have a lovely surprise to all of my readers. You can use the promocode “playingwithfashion” to get an instant 15% discount on your purchase during the holiday season (valid till January 15) through their website www.danielwellington.com . p.s. their shipping is worldwide. The model I’m wearing is Grace Glasgow 36mm watch. Happy Christmas Shopping.

It feels like it was just yesterday, when we were celebrating the beginning of Summer, and here we are on the 1st of September feeling betrayed that somehow these 3 months slipped away right in front of us. We all know, that officially it is still Summer till the 21st of September, but the end of August would always bring out the blues (still from the School Days 😛 )
With the long summer days coming to an end, I am trying to take advantage of every single moment and spend it outside, enjoying the sea and the nature. This is the second post dedicated to the beautiful Batroun sea, and I simply cannot get enough of the surreal calmness and coolness that this place gives me. (Thank you @breadonbutter_ for making me welcome in your hometown once again)
One of the biggest advantages of the early Fall months is the cooler weather that we get, so I am all for the layering style as seen in the look I have chosen for Lynn’s birthday barbecue, last weekend (check Lynn’s blog: www.breadonbutter.com).
